Fastidious distributivity
Abstract
I argue that nominal predicates cannot be interpreted distributively if the
subject is not a distributive quantifier. This is surprising and problematic for the current theories of distributivity. I offer a novel analysis of distributivity, fastidious distributivity, in which only arguments can be interpreted distributively and formalize fastidious distributivity using team logic.
